26 Weeks, Dr Appt and Sick

I had my monthly check up on 9/21.  The baby's HB was between 140 and 145.  I felt a few kicks/jabs before she put the doppler on me so I think baby was awake.  I didn't really have any questions for the midwife and was told my next appointment would be my last monthly check up.  I would then start my every 2 week check ups.  I can not believe we are almost at that point already.  My glucose screening is on 9/28 and really not looking forward to that. I have to be at the office by 8:30am, they draw my blood, make me drink this super sugary stuff and then draw blood at 9:30am and 10:30am.  I can't eat or drink during that time from what I'm told.  I hope at least water though.  I don't know how I can go 2 hours without drinking any water!
Joey had his 18 month check up last Thursday and we both came down with colds on Friday/Saturday.  It's so hard to not feel good and try to take care of a child, let alone when they aren't feeling good either.  I remember getting sick when I was pregnant with Joey about a month before he was due to arrive.  Hopefully that doesn't happen again and I can escape sickness until this little one arrives.

How far along: 26 weeks

Weight gain/loss: My scale says 13-14lbs, doctor's scale says 11-12lbs.  Either way I'm on the right track.

Maternity clothes: Haven't purchased anything new.  Trying to stretch what I have.

Stretch marks: Using the cocoa butter and oil

Symptoms: Stuffy nose, some mild aches/pains, Braxton Hicks contractions, feeling tired/drained and finding it difficult to eat or find anything that sounds good.

Sleep:  Pretty good, I love our bed and just wish I could sleep more!!

Best moment this week: Had my monthly check up and got to hear little one's heartbeat.  Love that sound :)

Gender: This baby is far less active from what I can tell and I still think girl.

Belly button in or out: Staying in so far

Food cravings:  Nothing I have to have.  Though I do notice more of a sweet tooth this time around.  I usually resort to fruit or these gummy stars we get at Whole Foods.

Movement: I've noticed the baby can now stick out a limb and keep it there which feels odd.  But definitely much quieter than Joey was.

What I miss: My energy!!

What I'm looking forward to: Feeling better and hopefully resting this weekend.

25 Weeks

How far along: 25 weeks

Weight gain/loss: Appointment is 9/21.

Maternity clothes: Nothing new yet, but may see what I can find on sale.

Stretch marks: Praying they stay away

Symptoms: Just tired and not sleeping as well.  Nothing especially new this week.

Sleep:  I haven't been sleeping as well the past week or so.  I wake up more often and sometimes struggle to get comfortable.

Best moment this week: Took Joey to the zoo on Sunday.  It was nice to have some family time!

Gender: Still a mystery!

Belly button in or out: Staying in so far

Food cravings:  Can't say I'm really craving anything.  I am noticing it's harder to eat much because I feel sooooo full and uncomfortable.

Movement: Still sporadic but it's also getting stronger and not just little pokes/jabs.  It's more rolls and stronger kicks.

What I miss: Being able to do more and feel like myself.  I'm trying to keep up but the energy is just not there!

What I'm looking forward to: The cooler weather and a relaxing weekend hopefully!

24 Weeks

How far along: 24 weeks

Weight gain/loss: Next appointment is 9/21.  Dreading the scale as usual.

Maternity clothes: Haven't bought anything new but will need to get some work clothes soon.  I'm not super comfortable with tight belly hugging tops so I'm down to a few that I like.

Stretch marks: Cocoa butter and pregnancy oil!

Symptoms: Stuffy nose on and off.  It's very annoying at night when I wake up to pee and then either have to blow my nose like 5x to get some relief or have sneeze attacks.  Braxton hicks here and there and just feeling big.  I know I have way more to grow too.

Sleep:  I fall asleep pretty quickly and don't even hear Steve come to bed.  But I'm up probably 3-5 times a night to pee.  I swear as soon as I pee, I have the urge to go like 5 minutes later.  I think this baby is sitting directly on my bladder.

Best moment this week: Joey had his first swim lesson today.  He loved it!!

Gender: I haven't given it much thought and it's funny how everyone was positive Joey was a boy (obviously they were right) but this time it's more 50/50.

Belly button in or out: Staying in so far

Food cravings:  Fruit, but that's not pregnancy related.  I just love it!  And yogurt with oats mixed in.  I've been cooking a lot at home and trying to come with new recipes.

Movement: Here and there.  I'm trying to see if there is a wake/sleep pattern yet.  I have started to notice movement like every 2-4 hours on some days.  Other days I sit on the couch at night and think to myself I don't remember feeling little one at all today!

What I miss: Having more energy and being able to wear more of my clothes comfortably.  I pray I'm able to lose the weight as easily as I did with Joey.  Seeing pictures of myself with a flatter mid section brings back memories of that first moment that Joey was born and I felt so tiny.  It was such a crazy feeling.

What I'm looking forward to: Hopefully the zoo this weekend as a family!

23 Weeks

How far along: 23 weeks

Weight gain/loss: Next appointment is September 21st, and on the 28th for my 2 hour glucose screening

Maternity clothes: Broke out the maternity skinny jeans and I love them.  Ready for the fall weather!

Stretch marks: Staying strong with the lotion and oil.

Symptoms: Stuffy nose that comes and goes during the day but causes me to use TONS of tissues to try and breathe.  Feeling full and uncomfortable very easily.  And I have felt a few Braxton Hicks contractions already.  I don't remember feeling them until at least 30 weeks with Joey.

Sleep:  I seem to fall asleep very easily.  But have to get up and pee like 4x a night.  I'm trying to drink lots of water to help with the constipation issues but it causes me to pee all day and night!

Best moment this week: Having a 3 day weekend.....it's nice to have time to spend with family and around the house.

Gender: My first 'feeling' was girl when I knew I was pregnant but then part of me is wondering if it's a boy.  Mrs Lozen said boy this weekend.  We need to work on finalizing a boy name soon!

Belly button in or out: Staying in so far

Food cravings:  Not much really.  Though I do have a sweet tooth but not overpowering or making me have to have anything NOW.  I could have really gone for a turkey sandwich the other day but we don't really buy deli meat and I wasn't going to go and buy one just because.

Movement: Baby seems to be more active in the mid morning and early afternoon.  Joey was always moving when I would lay in bed at night.  I don't seem to notice this one as much.  I think I felt hiccups the other day though.

What I miss: I hate to say it because it's all I wrote when I was pregnant with Joey but I really want a drink.  I haven't had a drink in years!  I obviously didn't drink with Joey and then while nursing I was just so nervous and tired anyways that alcohol had no appeal.  Then we got pregnant again so I haven't had a real drink in a very long time.  I can't even imagine how I will feel when I do finally have just one drink, haha.

What I'm looking forward to: Only working 2 days this week and spending time with Steve and Joey.
